Unflatness Measurement System PRO®

PRO is the abbreviation for PROACTIVE.
UMS-i roll in S-Block (high tension), in combination with UMS-LT (low tension) at line exit, the patented flatness measurement system in high and low tension area with one REDEX Group controller which enables immediate measurement and correction of strip flatness right after the leveler.
Reaching about 98% measurement accuracy before strip is passing S-Block, and 99.5% measurement accuracy after passing UMS low tension at exit.
Targets and regulation switching between high or low tension area shape measurement ensures best leveling performance. UMS low tension and high tension in combination is reaching the highest possible strip flatness results with 99,5% flatness measurement accuracy without material loss.
Saving about 75m of not regulated flatness to any other comparable flatness regulation system, as the strip flatness is not passing the S-Block without full automatic leveling in closed loop.

For process using tension leveling section with pure stretch to avoid crossbow, a laser measurement in line and a close loop with our inflatable roll can guarantee a crossbow free finished strip.
